IEC Standard Copper Terminal Block

Dazhe’s China IEC Standard Copper Terminal Block are manufactured in accordance with the relevant standards formulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). They serve as components for establishing both electrical and mechanical connections between copper conductors.

These terminal blocks are suitable for connecting round copper conductors (whether specially treated or not) with a cross-sectional area ranging from 0.05 mm² (30 AWG) to 300 mm² (600 kcmil). They are applicable in circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V AC at frequencies up to 1000 Hz or 1500 V DC.

IEC-compliant copper terminal blocks Technical Requirements

Clamping Device: Must ensure reliable electrical and mechanical connections, and withstand the specified tensile forces and torques without loosening.

Insulation Performance: The insulating materials shall possess excellent electrical insulation and heat resistance, and pass the specified dielectric voltage withstand test and temperature rise test.

Contact Performance: Contact pressure shall be applied via the Contact-pressure-through-Insulation (CoPI) test to ensure low and stable contact resistance, thereby reducing heat generation and energy loss.

Mechanical Performance: Shall have adequate mechanical strength to withstand mechanical stresses during normal operation and installation.
