Compared with castings and forgings, stamped parts are characterized by being thin, uniform, lightweight and strong. Stamping can produce workpieces with reinforcing ribs, flanges, undulations or flanges that are difficult to manufacture by other methods, so as to improve their rigidity.

With precision molds, the dimensional accuracy of workpieces can reach the micron level, with high repeatability and consistent specifications. It can also directly stamp out pits, bosses and other structures. Cold-stamped parts generally require no further machining, or only a small amount of finishing. Although the accuracy and surface finish of hot-stamped parts are lower than those of cold-stamped parts, they are still superior to castings and forgings, with minimal machining required.
